The “First Satranga Youth Peace Festival” has been scheduled to be held on September 30 at the Al Hamra Hall, Mall road, Lahore, announced the program organizers on Sunday. The festival will be held from 4 pm to 9 pm, the organizers said.
The festival is being organized by a youth led organization, Satranga Cultural Development Organization, with the aim of promoting peace, pluralism, respect for diversity and preservation of culture.
Mountain Youth Resource and Social Welfare Organization (MYRO) is a core partner in the festival besides other organizations, including the government of Punjab and South Asia Partnership. Mountain TV has been selected as media partner of the festival besides Maati.tv.
“The youth of Gilgit-Baltistan will be provided the opportunity to represent their culture in the festival,” said Nisar Ahmed, CEO of MYRO.
Satranga Cultural Development Organization uses theatre, media and visual art as advocacy and intervention tools.
