WHEN MORNING COMES

A poem by Rabia Kausar

When Morning comes

And night passes away

I get a new costume of personality

My fold of sins gradually flake away

Dewey roses bloom

And their fragrance makes a noise

The moon goes back

And the sun gives him a voice

The swallow starts her journey

In the fresh air which is murmuring

Little sparrow is singing

Tall tree is smiling and dancing

The leaves shed tears of joy

And pray

May the fire of men be taken away

The ways are untrodden

It seems as they will never be burdened

But men walk on it

And take their beauty away

Suddenly the day starts

Men are going to take their part

In making the heaven of hell

But some make the hell of heaven
