Terror bid foiled in Chitral

CHITRAL: The counter-terrorism department (CTD) here claimed to have foiled a terrorism bid by arresting two suspects along with recovering a huge cache of arms and ammunition from their custody.
Officials in the police said that on information gleaned from some suspects, the CTD conducted an operation at the Biori locality of lower Chitral and arrested two persons from a house in the summer pasture where there is more than one foot of snow these days.
The officials identified the arrested suspects as Ghulam Khan, son of Hasil Khan, resident of Yakatoot, Peshawar, and Yasir, son of Shah Jahan Khan of Afghanistan, who was also living in Peshawar.
The officials said the suspects were planning to carry out a large scale terror activity in Chitral. Further investigations in the case are underway.
