According to sources, Kharmang Valley, which is one of the five biggest valleys of Baltistan, is facing severe energy crisis that has added to the misery of the people who are already living life in the grip of severe winter cold.
It is pertinent to mention here that as winter has set in, electricity shortage and the duration of load shedding has increased throughout Gilgit-Baltistan. The load shedding duration is expected to increase further as pressure grows due to increased demand.
