Sixth successful trophy hunting of Himalayan ibex at KVO in 2015

A Dutch national Joannes Jacobus Joseph hunted a Himalayan ibex on 07th February 2015. It is the 6th successful hunt of the Himalayan ibex in the year 2015 at the Khunjerav village organization (KVO) conservation area. Mr. Joannes hunted 42 inches trophy size Himalayan ibex.

Khunjerav Villagers Organization (KVO) is an umbrella organization of 7 village and women organizations of upper Hunza Valley (Gojal) with a firm vision to conserve wildlife and develop community participation starting from the very grassroots levels. In 1975, Khunjerav became notified by the Govt. of Pakistan as National Park.

Today, after decades of untiring efforts of KVO in fields of saving nature, conservation projects, education and social development of community, it stands as a milestone that not only enabled community to develop, but also laid a foundation of conservation in form of isn’t National Park with wondrous sightings for World’s Most Precious species; snow leopard isn’t the except one.
