Samina Baig (born to Mr. Khayal Baig of Shimshal, Hunza, in 1990) is the first Pakistani woman to climb Mount Everest, the highest mountain of the world, on May 19, 2013. She also became the third Pakistani and the youngest Muslim woman to climb Everest.

In 2010, Samina Baig became the first one to climb Chashkin Sar, a peak above 6,000 meters in Shimshal. The peak was later renamed as Samina Peak. In 2011, Samina scaled Koh-i-Brobar (Mount Equality in English). However, unfavorable weather conditions kept Samina Baig and her brother Mirza Ali from summiting the seven kilometer high Spantik Peak.
