The social media team lead for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf GB chapter, Mr. Ali Taj, has issued a statement on the formation of PMLN government in Gilgit-Baltistan, saying the formation of government is not an end in itself, rather the beginning of a countdown.
“The countdown for CM Hafeez Sarkar begins now,” said Mr. Taj in his statement. “We will closely monitor the performance of PMLN’s government on the key development indicators related to education, health, & poverty during its rule in Gilgit-baltistan.”
The PTI social media activist said they would critically watch “how many out of school children the newly formed government brings back to the school.”
While giving indication of looming tough time for the GB government, Mr. Taj said his party would hold the government responsible if it fails to decrease infant mortality ratio and maternal mortality rate in the region.
The activist said they would monitor “how much unemployment does it (the PMLN GB government) curtail, how much infrastructure development it brings to the region, what efforts it makes to preempt natural and unnatural dangers our region is faced with, and to protect the lives and property of our people in case if any disasters.”
We will keep close eyes on the government when it comes to the provision of political, economic and constitutional rights to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, said Mr. Taj. He also said they would monitor the government on issuing notifications of the new districts announced by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
“Our people will not accept any fudging with the political gimmicks, something that is and has been part and parcel of the PMLN federal and provincial governments when it came to delivering on its election promises,” said Mr. Taj in his remarks.
