Protracted absence of GB chief minister from office angers people

gb cmThe Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah is reportedly absent from office since Feb. 1, leaving resolution of a number of issues in the pending, including his pledged decision on the restoration of public school teachers who were removed from their posts and corruption cases in the Water and Power Department involving contractors besides scores of other matters.

According to sources, CM G-B is in Lahore to attend the wedding of his son and is expected to return on Feb. 16.  The cases requiring his decision and approval have been put to a halt due to his absence from office, worrying and angering all stakeholders of the cases.
