Police arrest man in Hunza for impersonating IB officer

Police arrested a man in Hunza for what they said was impersonating Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer on Firday, according to a report in the Daily K2.

Police detained Mr. Farooq Shah from the house of the Deputy Commissioner Hunza-Nagar Mr. Imran Ali Sultan. The report said that Mr. Shah has been living as IB officer with the deputy commissioner for almost three months. He also possessed an identity card that portrayed him as an inspector in the spy organization.

Police arrested the fake IB officer after a man doing photocopies told them that he is doubtful about Mr. Shah’s identity card that he had brought to him for photocopy. The fake intelligence officer was staying with the deputy commissioner as a guest.
