Lawyers in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) have demanded the abolition of the Ministry of Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir Affairs as it poses a key hesitant block to constitutional rights.
The demand was put forward in a combined declaration signed by Coordination Council of Gilgit-Baltistan and AJK through its first meeting in Islamabad.
According to a report of express tribune the body was formed few days ago by the legal fraternity in Gilgit-Baltistan and AJK to launch a combined struggle for autonomy and eradicate misunderstandings According to insiders, the declaration was signed by a variety of lawyers, with Gilgit-Baltistan Bar council vice president Advocate Shehbaz Khan and AJK Bar council advocate Raja Khalid Mehmood.
