The National Highway Authority (NHA) is in the process of passing land compensation for the affectees of Karakoram Highway’s improvement project for some villages of Hunza, according to the Deputy Commissioner Hunza-Nagar Mr. Imran Ali Sultan.
“Award of KKH land compensation for village Hassanabad, Aliabad and Sheraz Haiderabad will shortly be passed,” wrote Mr. Sultan on Facebook.
It is pertinent to mention here that an amount of Rs. 3,20,98,736 was passed in January as land compensation to be distributed among the KKH improvement project affectees of Nasirabad, Hunza.
Meanwhile, the people of Gojal have demanded that they be compensated at the earliest because they “are disaster affected and deserve priority.”
