‘Hunza Cultural Forum’ to organize cultural event in Islamabad

News Desk: Hunza Cultural Forum (HCF) has announced to organize “Hunza Cultural Festival” in Islamabad on Jan. 18 and 19, 2014.

An important meeting was held on Sunday in Islamabad to finalize the event schedule .The cabinet members and volunteers discussed different matters pertaining to the planned event, including funds availability, security matters and management plans.

“It is a moment of great pleasure that artisans of Hunza, residing in different parts of the country, will get the opportunity to get together and via this event and  will get the attention at national and international level. We have started inviting artists and are getting very positive response,” said Zeeshan Ayub, a senior member of Hunza Cultural Forum.

He further said that Hunza Cultural Forum (HCF) is organizing the annual cultural event that comes with thought provoking goals and objectives and that in previous years, people have appreciated the effort and participated in the events in large number.

The objectives of the event include:

1) Bringing together, and creating  harmony among the people of Hunza at urban level.
2) Promoting the poets and signers of local dialects (i.e Brushaski, Shina,
Wakhi, Domaki).
3) Promoting and encouraging cottage industry of Hunza  (wood,stone, Carpet and  other handicrafts)

4)Promoting tourism in the region via highlighting cultural activities.
