One of the new developments is giving rise to fears of an imminent disaster as crakes widening in the area between Hussainabad and Mayun village. Failure of the slopes is expected to block the Hunza River, drowning many adjacent settlements in its wake.
A geological team survey is been mandatory to visit the location to study the widening of these crakes in in the valley. Earlier some of the households have been shifted due to a risk of the nearest village.
This might cause a disaster for the nearest villages in the area and might be worse for the people of Hussainabad, Mayun and nearby villages of lower Hunza. From the last year landmass in the valley is showing unforeseen signs of a likely disaster.
