The GB government has set a target to generate 300 megawatt hydropower within the next three years to overcome the energy crisis, said Chief Minister Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman while talking to Radio Pakistan Gilgit after budget presentation.
He said feasibility of medical college and 300 beds cardiac hospital has been prepared and both the projects will be completed on priority basis.
Hafeez said huge amount has been allocated for the construction of districts auditoriums one each at all districts to save money being spent on hotels for holding of functions.
He said playgrounds will be set up at each sub -divisional level for the promotion of sports and facilitate the youth.
Under budget, the GB government will set up endowment funds to encourage students by providing them 100 laptops yearly basis besides cash to toppers students at districts level, he added.
