GILGIT: Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Hafeez-ur-Rehman has said that the federal government has allocated 3.5 billion rupees for the establishment of a medical college in Gilgit. He revealed this while speaking at the Karakorum Educational Convention in Gilgit on Tuesday.
It is worth noting here that in May, an MoU was signed between the GB government and PIMS to set up the first medical college in GB.
Hafeez-ur-Rehman further said that the regional government will pay tuition fee of poor students from class one to middle from 1st of next month. Twenty model schools are also being established in which twenty brilliant students from each government school would be admitted, he revealed.
