Gojal:Baby Ibex rescued in Gulmit disappears from the custody of GB Wildlife Department. Kid of a Himalayan ibex was rescued from a farming field by locals at Gulmit Gojal on July 27th, 2016. Later, it was handover to the Wildlife department of Hunza via Gulmit Organisation for Local Development(GOLD).
According to our source, the ibex kid was shifted to Sost Gojal where it was supposed to be fed and groomed and later released at the same locality where it was rescued.
An employee of the wildlife department was given the task to take care of the ibex but later he claimed that he had left the ibex kid with his goats in the garden and found it missing on returning from an urgent work. According to our source, the employee has been suspended by the department but yet the officials have been unsuccessful to recapture the baby ibex.
