People of Gojal  Valley have decided to hold demonstration against power outage that has crippled the valley from the last several days. The largest tehsil of Hunza-Nagar is facing load-shedding of almost 24 to 36 hours.  In most of the villages of Gojal, 4 hours of electricity is supplied after every two days.

The power shortage has not only adversely affected the small and medium sized businesses in the area, but has also made students of the village suffer during exams.

According a source, one of the hydro electric turbines at Khyber village has been damaged, resulting in electricity crisis across the valley. People of the valley have held responsible what they call “incompetent officials in the power department” saying they are not even able to resolve a minor issue in the electric turbine.
