Ghulam Samad Shah nominated for Hive Harvard University Global leaders Program

Ghulam Samad shah hailing from Yarzrich village of Gojal valley has been nominated for the Hive Harvard University Global Leaders Program on his successful social entrepreneurship program. The Hive Global Leaders Program 2016 has received over 5000 applications from more than 125 countries. Many applications came from extremely qualified individuals.

Mr. Ghulam Samad Shah is the co-founder and managing director of Human & Enterprise development institute (HEDI) Gilgit.  He has acquired advanced diploma in entrepreneurship, project management and global leadership from the USA and holds a Masters degree in Business Administration.


Mr. Samad has over 13 years of work experience in different development/corporate organizations at mid-management positions mainly in administration, finance and operations. Samad has worked for various organizations namely: Focus Humanitarian Assistance, The First Microfinance Bank, Serena Hotel Islamabad and BGP International. He has attended various seminars and training sessions, including Business Edge training of IFC, Common Interest Formation and strengthening of ECI.


Mr. Samad has conducted various business management training sessions for AKRSP, AKPBS’P and LSOs. Being the Founding Director of Human and Enterprise Development Institute (HEDI), Samad currently teaches various professional courses at the institute based in Gilgit.
