GB government to establish anti-corruption department

GILGIT: Chief Minister Hafiz Gilgit-Baltistan Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman has said that the GB government is all set to establish anti-corruption department. The goal of the department would be to eliminate the menace of corruption from GB and make the system transparent.

“Efforts are underway to set up anti-corruption department in Gilgit-Baltistan to eliminate corruption and make the system transparent,” Mr Rehman said on Thursday.

He said the anti-corruption department will be empowered to investigate corruption cases that involve the alleged embezzlement of up to fifty million rupees.
