The Gilgit-Baltistan Education Department has revoked the appointments of at least 183 teachers, who were illegally inducted in different public educational institutions.
Reports say that the decision came after a report was presented to the government by the GB home secretary’s office. Notification has already been issued about cancellation of the appointments; however, the fired teachers have threatened to move the court against the decision.
Authorities said appointments of the 183 teachers had been declared illegal as of March 4 this year; however, a case related to the matter is already in court. Meanwhile, the teachers have accused the education director of insulting the court.
