First year students fail in exam protests against KIU Board

The first year failed students protested against the Karakoram International University (KIU) Board. Students were holding placards in hands which were slogans against KIU board. The students were demonstrating at the Etihad Chowk.




The protest was addressed by convener of the Awami Action Committee Ahsaan Ali advocate, human rights coordinator Muhammad Farooq, and others, said that the board has appointed members on the basis of recommendation of bribe.

The protestors said that technical person has been appointed for the board controller and the students are in fear of for their future. The protestors demanded that the KIU Board should be separated and a new board should be established with the name of Gilgit-Baltistan Education Board.

While talking to Mountain TV the students said that the papers they had given were very good of what they were expecting. But, the KIU board administration is playing with our future for their personal interest.  They demanded that the board should fix this issue otherwise they will the students will further protest against the board.

However, the KIU board administration said that few of the employees of the Karakoram University are involved in it that is instigating the students against the board.
