Internal rebel is reportedly brewing inside the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in Gilgit-Baltistan with Chief Minister Mehdi Shah trailing fame amongst the party’s position.
According to a report of Express Tribune “There have been quite a few corner meetings and it has been decided to start on a joint struggle to oust Mehdi Shah and efforts are under way to install him as quickly as possible.”
Some higher-ranking leaders have also contacted the National Assembly Opposition Leader Mr. Khursheed Shah to communicate grievances of the area leadership to PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari.
Mehdi Shah has also been blamed of bypassing the senior leaders throughout decision making, drawing censure from disgruntled party associates.
