The Ex- Director Mr. Hoor Shah, Ex-Chairman Sost Port Darvesh Ali, Ex- Vice Chairman Raza Muhammad and Ex-Spokes person Gulsher Khan said that the chairman of the Port Mr. Zafar Iqbal is responsible for the conflict that ocuured between Pakistan and China. It is an alarming situation for both the countries and especially to the people who are working there, according to the ex-officials of the port.
Talking to MountainTV, they said that since 2001 there was an agreement between the share holders and the Chinese company that the Chinese company will help in the administrative work and activities. But the current chairman is not favoring the agreement.
They said that the port’s transparent financial audit has been carried out since 2001. The port was not performing well during the Ghazanfar period and AGM has not been called from the last ten years. They said they have 13 million rupees in the port’s account and the former officials are working for the interest of the 339 share holders and also for a good working relation with the Chinese company.
They said that Mr.Zafar Iqbal in a meeting promised that he will call the AGM and will resign from the post of chairmanship but he didn’t. They demanded the resignation of chairman and a new free and fair election.
