It is pertinent to mention here that the Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan, Hiroshi Inomata, recently told the Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs & Gilgit-Baltistan, Chaudhary Muhammad Barjees Tahir, that Japanese companies were keen to construct resorts in Gilgit-Baltistan, especially in villages adjoining the Attabad Lake in Upper Hunza (Gojal). The recent visit of the government officials’ delegation to Gojal Valley is being viewed as a development in this direction.
