Breaking: LPG cylinder explosion sets ablaze shops, restaurant in Aliabad Hunza

Updated: Reports say that FOCUS trained volunteers played leading role to control the fire. Moreover, the people have demanded that the government immediately establish district municipality and branch of Rescue 1122 in Hunza Nagar district.

Report: LPG cylinder explosion at a restaurant has set ablaze at least 5-6 shops in Aliabad, Hunza, Mountain TV reported.

Meanwhile, no casualty has been reported. Customers who were dining at the restaurant have reportedly been evacuated via a safe exit back door.

According to our correspondent, the gas cylinder explosion occurred at the Lahore Restaurant and set the adjacent shops and wooden cabins on fire. The fire is engulfing other shops on the lane as scouts and volunteers battle to bring it under control.

Reports said that fire and rescue authorities have not yet reached the site. Local people are also helping scouts and volunteers to bring the fire under control with the help of water.
