Gilgit: Anti-Terrorism Court in Gilgit verdict twelve people, with Progressive Youth Front head Baba Jan, to life in prison. They will spend 40 extra years in prison, as well as paying 500,000 rupees in fines, according to the verdict proclaims on Thursday 25, 2014.
Furthermore, the convicts’ assets and earnings will be used to rebuild buildings damaged and property put on fire on 11th August 2011 in Aliabad, Hunza. Three blamed were affirmed absconders and they were verdict to supplementary custody for ten years all.
According to report, Judge of the Anti-Terrorism Court Gilgit Shahbaz Khan proclaimed the verdict of a case registered next to 17 people on charges of aggressive, prowling and torching government structures in Aliabad on 11th August 2011. Furious mobs had attacked and damaged government buildings in Aliabad on 11th August subsequent to police killed two unarmed, belonging to the tragedy hit Ayeenabad village of Gojal Hunza.
