20 hours of load shedding as electricity shortfall in Gilgit-Baltistan

The power shortfall in all over the region of Gilgit-Baltistan has exceeded and load shedding has risen to at least 20 hours a day.

Gilgit City and Ghizar district have been especially subjected to prolonged and unscheduled electricity load shedding varying between 18 to 20 hours a day. People of skardu and hunza are also facing huge problems of cold due to shortage of electricity.

The Continuous power outage has affected domestic life to a great extent in many parts of Gilgit-Baltistan in this winter with the temperature shooting up towards -16 degrees Celsius.
